The category Delicacies gathers carefully selected products that enrich every meal and bring a top-notch gastronomic experience. The offer includes six subcategories, each representing a special world of flavor.
Olive oils and vinegars – Extra virgin olive oils and aromatic balsamic vinegars are essential in Mediterranean cuisine. They are used for preparing salads, marinades, and as a finishing touch for dishes. Especially valued oils with pronounced fruity notes or spicier flavors pair excellently with vegetables, fish, or meat, while balsamic vinegar adds depth, acidity, and a hint of sweetness.
Truffles and mushrooms – Truffles are one of the most valued delicacies in the world. Their intense, earthy aroma transforms the simplest dishes into true specialties. In our offer, you can find truffle oils, truffle specialties, and mushroom delicacies, perfect for pasta, risotto, or meat dishes.
Ajvar, roasted peppers, and olives – This subcategory brings authentic Mediterranean and Balkan flavors. Homemade ajvar, sweet or spicy, is the ideal complement to meats and cheeses. Roasted peppers in oil and olives of various varieties are perfect as appetizers, side dishes, or additions to salads and sandwiches.
Sweet spreads – The offer includes fruit jams and preserves, as well as rich creams of pistachios, hazelnuts, and other nuts. Sweet spreads are not reserved only for pancakes. Try serving orange or ginger marmalade with your cheese and meat platters, and add hazelnut cream to your oatmeal or overnight oats. Sweet spreads thus become an indispensable addition in every kitchen, whether you are looking for something simple, nutritious, or gourmet.
Sauces and delicate spreads – Sauces and special spreads give dishes a new dimension. From mustards with special aromas, to pestos and tapenades, to gourmet pâtés made from duck liver, pheasant, and venison. Elevate your pastas and risottos to a higher level!
Fish – Delicate fish in cans or jars have long held a special place in gastronomy. Tuna fillets, anchovies, and other fish specialties are practical, nutritionally rich, and full of flavor. They are excellent for preparing quick yet nutritionally valuable dishes, salads, or appetizers.
All these subcategories are connected by one thing – carefully selected products of proven quality that celebrate a love for food and bring the best of domestic and global gastronomic traditions. The category Delicacies is designed for you to find everything – from basic cooking ingredients to rare and luxurious products for special occasions.

Everything about delicacies
1. How long does extra virgin olive oil last after opening?
Olive oil is best consumed within 12 months after opening. Store it in a dark and cool place, away from heat sources.
2. What is the difference between balsamic vinegar and regular wine vinegar?
Balsamic vinegar is made from reduced grape must and has a thicker texture and mild sweetness. Wine vinegar is more acidic and simpler, while balsamic is ideal for salads and marinades.
3. How are truffles and truffle products used?
Truffles and truffle products are used as an accompaniment to pasta, risotto, eggs, or meat. A small amount is enough because the aroma is intense.
4. How long does a fresh truffle last?
Fresh truffles last only a few days in the fridge, while truffle-based products (oils, pastes) can last for months.
5. What is Adria ajvar made from?
Adria ajvar is made exclusively from roasted red peppers, which is a traditional recipe. No eggplant or tomatoes are added.
6. What is the difference between green and black olives?
Green olives are harvested earlier and have a firmer texture and milder taste, while black olives ripen longer and provide a softer structure and stronger aroma.
7. How to store an opened jar of olives?
After opening, olives should be stored in the fridge, always completely covered with the liquid they were packed in.
8. What are the most popular fruit spreads?
The most sought after are orange and fig marmalades, while jams with ginger or wild fruits are becoming increasingly popular as a gourmet addition.
9. Can sweet spreads be combined with savory dishes?
Yes. Fruit spreads pair excellently with cheeses and meat platters, while nut spreads can be used in dressings and marinades.
10. How to serve foie gras?
Foie gras is most often served chilled, sliced into pieces, with brioche bread and a fruit spread such as fig or orange. We recommend one of Mackays spreads.
11. How to use tapenade?
Olive tapenade is used as a spread on bread, an addition to pasta, or a side for meat dishes.
